Master of Science in Sports Business was designed with input from over 50 industry professionals to prepare you for career growth in sport business roles such as sales, fundraising and development, facility and event management, social media and digital communication, marketing, partnerships, and activation. We have access to facilities, teams and entertainment entities from the Philadelphia market, the 4th largest media market in the US. The Sport Business Program features:
- Can be completed in as little as 12 months: 30 credit hours.
- On campus, online, and hybrid format options available
- All faculty are expert practitioners with significant, on-the-ground industry experience.
- Classroom learning and practical preparation prepare students for industry opportunities.
We also offer an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Sport Management along with a 4 + 1 option, wherein undergraduates may commit to undertake their master's program at Neumann and receive a substantial tuition reduction for two graduate courses taken concurrently in their eighth and last semester as an undergraduate student. The Bachelor of Science program is accredited by Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

This program is like an MBA, but specifically focused on the development of these skills in the sport business field in all areas: professional sports, collegiate & high school athletics; youth & community-based sports; brands & agencies and Esports.
The Sport Management major offers career-minded students the opportunity to gain a broad-based understanding of the major areas of Sport industry. Graduates in Sport Management move on to challenging and exciting careers in major and minor league professional sports, high school and college athletics, nonprofit organizations, sports and recreation facilities, and sport marketing agencies.
The Sport Management major is designed to prepare students to blend general management skills with the specific demands of managing sports organizations. Sport Management majors acquire a strong foundation in management, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, ethics, and legal aspects of business. Specific courses in Sport Management provide students with an understanding of the role of sports in society, the role of management in sports, and the opportunities to apply their knowledge in sports-related organizations. Students supplement classroom teaching with a variety of practical experiences through field trips and by working in sport management settings through completion of a Cooperative Education placement. Students in Sport Management gain both the knowledge and practical experiences which are necessary for their future success in a variety of sport and entertainment management careers.
The Master’s in Athletic Training Program can be completed in 2 years. This program is aligned with the competencies and proficiencies established by National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. The didactic portion of the program is taught by experienced faculty in hybrid format, utilizing online and face to face instruction in our new state of the art Health Science Center. The Neumann Athletic Training Program offers a low student to faculty ratio that provides individualized learning in both the classroom and clinical settings. There are 4 clinical (practicum) experiences that enhance classroom content providing opportunity for applied learning under the supervision of a certified athletic trainer. Students will also participate in at least one “immersive clinical experience” during the last year in the Program. Neumann’s location in the greater Philadelphia region complements our offering of a wide variety of unique clinical opportunities. This allows students exposure to both traditional (to include professional sports), as well as non-traditional clinical athletic training experiences. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in sports medicine research under the guidance of our faculty.

Lastly, students are exposed and encouraged to participate alongside faculty in a variety of professional development opportunities.
