Jonathan Gay, ’09 Executive Director Playworks
“My peers in the program. Although we were all pursuing different professional ambitions, we learned a lot from one another—what it takes to be part of a team, how to communicate, how to achieve goals. It was a diverse student body, so it was important to develop these skills. I am extremely proud of the work we did together and the friendships we developed. Also, I met multiple professors who served as mentors, whom I am still in touch with today. They are always open to coffee to discuss my professional goals and next steps.”

Angela McMahon, '10 Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach UMass-Amherst
“Leadership is such a critical aspect of my everyday life. The idea that leadership strategies are constantly evolving is something that was reinforced through my studies. There is not one right or wrong way to do things, but I can adapt different theories and strategies to make them my own. I always need to keep up with trends as new leaders/leadership models emerge.”

Tim Ritcey, ’09 Manager of Marketing Partnerships Canadian Olympic Committee
“I looked into programs in Canada and the United States. I found that Northeastern provided a great mix of sports management and sports leadership courses that teach you how to really be a leader in the industry. Because I was in the finance industry, I already had strong business experience, but I wanted to broaden my knowledge of leadership.”
